Tarot layout: The Celtic Cross

Aleister Crowley & lady Frieda Harris created the Thoth Tarot deck.

The deck is shuffled by the person the cards are read to. He or she concentrates on the question and returns the deck to the card reader. The reader lays out the cards into 5 cateorgies, each consisting of 3 cards.

• Centre category, represents the querent's motivation
• Top right hand category, represents the near future
• Top left hand category, represents the distant future
• Bottom left hand category, represents forces on the querent's side
• Bottom right hand category, represents forces beyond the querent's control

Many readers avoid the use of the Thoth deck because of the close association with Black Magic.
